Beauty everywhere...
Right outside our apartment in Spoleto was this doorway. My sister-in-law, Rebecca, painted this scene and gave it to us as a Christmas gift in 2007. She's an unbelievable artistic talent.I used to joke all the time with our Italian friends. (Humor is definitely not universal so one has to be careful.) One of my favorite jests was when our Italian friends would comment on how good a cook Anne-Maire was. I would correct them saying, "È buona anche nella cucina." Roughly translated this means, "She's also good in the kitchen."
