Where's Savannah?...
One thing we learned while living in Italy was to make sure we knew the whereabouts of each child at all times. Savannah escaped during a Family Night lesson and discovered another use for toothpaste. (I don’t remember who gave the lesson that night but Savannah must have found it boring.)Italians dote over their children (especially the women). Anne-Marie and I watched in amazement as two Italian grandmothers took turns wiping the drool from a baby's mouth every few seconds. This went on for some time (I think the baby was teething). You wouldn't believe the number of single Italian men that live with their mothers well into their thirties and sometimes forties. They're called mamones (or mamma's boys). The mothers cook, clean, and provide their every need like they were still small boys. Now there's a cultural difference!
