There's always time for gelato...
In Italy, there’s ALWAYS time for gelato (Italian ice cream). If allowed, Andrew would spend all day playing his Nintendo Game Boy and Hannah would spend all day eating gelato. Even Savannah could order gelato in Italian—she used gestures which are part of the Italian language. The people here truly speak with their hands. (However, if I see a gesture while driving, it’s probably not a good one.)How many flavors of gelato are there? We thought we'd have the answer before returning home but were unsuccessful. Not for lack of trying, however. Part of visiting any city included tasting the local gelato. We definitely have our favorites. In Citta' della Pieve, it was Stefanini's. In Spoleto, it was a tie between Bar/Pasticeria Tebro and Gelaterìa Primavera. The best gelaterìa we tried in all of Italy was at the Gherlinda shopping center in Corciano. One thing is sure, we'd like to go back to continue researching!
