Ooh la la...

italy / italian / culture / travel / things to do — mustache in VeniceAs we were walking through the streets of Venezia (Venice), we passed this guy talking on his cell phone in French. It was only after we passed him that we realized the magnitude of his mustache. So I quickly turned around, positioned myself carefully, and took this picture (hopefully without his knowledge). Trevor said, "Forget Freedom fries, what about curly fries?"

Where to go?... there’s so much to see and so many things to do in Italy. When we traveled, we preferred to do shorter trips to interesting places. There’s a difference in accent/dialect, food, culture, etc. based on the region of Italy you’re visiting. The only generalization I can make is to say that we found people in the north of Italy more formal than people in the south. One is not better than the other, they're just different. I guess it could be compared to the differences between the people in the east and west coasts of the United States. (I hope I don't offend anyone with this generalization.)
